Patient diaries in ICU

The concept of a patient diary in ICU is an interesting one.

There is some evidence that when used to collect information during a patient's stay, they help to "fill in" the memory hole caused by sedative drugs and delirium, and that this may reduce the psychological consequences in ICU survivors.

But do they help families?
